AR Rahman Facts 31

Credits : Rajan Adt

MALAYALAM/KERALA INFLUENCE IN RAHMAN'S NON-MALAYALAM SONG/MOVIE: Rahman loves to do new experiment in songs and I am spotting it from 1992 to till date. One such experiment is usage of Malayalam/Kerala culture in his non-Malayalam songs...I love these three songs for Rahman's brilliancy in adopting Malayalam flavours and adds beauty to these wonderful composition....

1. Kuluvalele: Muthu: the kerela instruments such as cenda, elathalam along with Malayalam lyrics in interludes adds beauty to this Tamil song...

2. Jiya Chale/Nenjinile:Dil Se: a Malayalam lyrics in prelude 00:13 to 00:46 and interludes 3:12 to 3:47 by MG Sreekumar and chorus is an added flavour...half a page can be written about this song...

3. Aaromale: VTV: a totally unique composition by rahman for a Malayalam lyrics in a Tamil movie... This song is a right example of Rahman new experiment. Whether it is vocal by Alphones Joseph,, bass by Keith, acoustic guitarist - all have rendered their best... It's indeed tough song to sing by a normal singer.
